Hi

This is a product url in the main category (for sale) http://micropaintings.dk/index.php/abstract-blues-detail

which is fine. But url to products in other categories are ugly.

For example :
http://micropaintings.dk/index.php/component/virtuemart/no-longer-available/trees-in-all-seasons-detail?Itemid=0

Is it possible to get rid of component/virtuemart/no-longer-available and ?Itemid=0 ?

The product are unique and they are moved from for sale to no longer available when sold

The problem is of cause visitors from search engines and social media. The link would lead to an error page if the product is sold and moved.

Hi Pilegaard,

Go to to the Site->Global Configuration menu in your joomla backend and on the right side there is "Search Engine Friend URL's" turn it to "Yes"

create a menu link to vmart shopfrontpage

&& for the best urls, yopu should create joomla menu links to ALL top level categories
