Title: Getting an error adding an image to a product

Hello,

I am extremly new to VM, so please bear with me as I ask some pretty dumb questions.

I am trying to create a product, and when I try and assign an image I get the following error.

vmError: Sorry,It's not a valid media file

The image file is imagename.jpg, so I am totally confused on what I may be doing wrong.

I hope someone can assist me

Mike,
PLEASE include your version of VirtueMart, Joomla and PHP in all posts. Is your image file corrupted? Can you give us the actual file name instead of a generic name?

Thank you for replying. The information of my site is:

PHP Version : 5.3.6
Joomla! 2.5.9 Stable [ Ember ] 4-February-2013 14:00 GMT
Joomla Platform 11.4.0 Stable [ Brian Kernighan ] 03-Jan-2012 00:00 GMT
Virtue Mart V2.0.20b

The name of the file is brush1.jpg.

I am developing the site on a local machine.

I hope someone can help me.
