Hello,
I am using VM version 2.0.20b with the Vm payment plugin Paypal installed and configured (right now in Sandbox mode for testing).
I want the checkout process to offer the possiblity for buyers to use their credit cards without having a Paypal account.
In my website preferences in Paypal the option is enabled.
I have read that I have to send a SOLUTIONTYPE=Sole parameter but I can't see where I must do that.
I have the same problem, I am getting the message
Don't have a PayPal account?
(Optional) Join PayPal for faster future checkout
instead of the client being able to just use credit card they still seem to have to sign up?
You may have to upgrade your PayPal account for the card payment selector to show. It shows OK on my UK premium account but other countries may differ.
there is a limitation on the use of paypal standard
a customer will be able to make one or two purchases without having a paypal account, and they can be from different sites
its unknow if the limit is the number of purchases, or a payment threshold
at some point the customer will HAVE to join paypal to purchase, it has nothing to do with your site, it is how paypal works, i have seen his over and over and it has happened to me when making payments on various websites
paypal is a marketing company, they want your customers to be their customers,
if you dont want the limitation, switch to paypalpro
