In the VM backend today, I see "Live update not supported" at a client's VM version 2.0.16
Can anyone please give me a clue as to why that might be, and what to do to fix it please?

That server cannot contact the ARS update server. Maybe a glitch or not permitted by the host.
I updated to the very newest version of VirtueMart and... I wish I did not! I got all of these errors. Can you help me understand how to fix it? Thank you so much!
