I migrated from Joomla 1.5.29 to version 2.5. and Virtuemart 1.9 to 2.0.
I think it went well but I have a problem with the products table because it is too heavy. I can not import the products table. I get this message:

So, I'm stuck. I checked the field (virtuemart_)product_id is auto-incremented.

The only answer to this is that Virtuemart coders are terrible.... expect much more than this error is you unfortunately use this junk e-commerce solution like I did.
I wonder why you have replied to this message which is more than three years old? Did you have problems with VM - but failed to mention them at the time or ask for support? macchu's problem was an migration issue from VM1.1 which was subsequently solved.
I suppose it is true that using VM does require a certain amount of intelligence to be able to use it, but you posted this comment just two minutes after registering to use this forum. So can't help wondering about your motive.
