Hi,

After the user has registered, when he looks into My account page, it allows to update all fields including username and email fields.
How do I make username and email fields to be non editable.

Joomla's login is used in VM2 so email changing is allowed as it seems to be permitted by Joomla - maybe there is a plugin in the JED to stop that?  You can lock the username though in J2.5's user manager options.

Is there any code which can be overridden, so that it does not allow users to update the email address and username.

I don't know of any, so I suggest you ask on the Joomla forum.
