Joomla 2.5.9
VM2.0.18a
Getting the following message when I attempt to register during checkout.

Message:
To use reCAPTCHA you must get an API key from https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin/create
I have tried enabling and disabling the plugin as well as the Captcha dropdown option in joomla global user configuration.
I have even tried installing three other third party extensions, tried enabling and disabling the plugin as well as the Captcha dropdown option in joomla global user configuration:
Joo Recaptcha
KeyCaptcha
RVS Captcha
None of the captcha plugins show during registration and no matter what settings I choose, I get the error message telling me to register with google, weather I enable/disable the plugins as well as change the Captcha dropdown options in joomla global user configuration.
I have also tried replacing the the Recaptcha files directly through FTP from the latest Joomla release with no luck.
VM2 Configuration:
On checkout, ask for registration = yes
Only registered users can checkout = yes
Joomla User Configuration:
Allow User Registration = Yes
New User Registration Group = registered
Guest User Group = public
Send Password = Yes
New User Account Activation = none
Captcha (I have tried every possible option) = None Selected, Default, Captcha ReCaptcha, KeyCaptcha (Joo Captcha and RVS Captcha never showed up in the drop down options)
Here is the link to my site:

Thank you in advance
I have now added a third plugin:
ECC+ - EasyCalcCheck Plus - Joomla! 2.5
I was able to get this plugin to display in the form and when I submit the from the error does not display, but nothing happens. The page reloads back to the registration form, still unable to register.
I have the same problem.
Have you solved?
have you K2 installed?

No, I've only Joomla 2.5.8 and VM2.0.18a
chriskabisch - I don't see anywhere in your steps that you imputed your API keys within the joomla recaptcha plugin in the plug-in manager....
Has everyone having this issue registered for API keys at recaptcha.net? Once you receive the Public and Private keys you need to input them into the fields in the "Captcha - ReCaptcha" joomla plug-in under "Extensions -> Plug-in Manager". Once you have selected "Captcha" as your "Default Captcha" under the global configurations, it should work.
