You are using Joomla 1.5 which has not been supported since Otober last year. (http://virtuemart.net/news/list-all-news/426-end-of-life-for-virtuemart-11-heidelpay-now-in-virtuemart-2012) The VM2 code is now written for Joomla 2.5

If the site is still working OK then maybe you could just turn off warning reporting and carry on, or even revert to the last working version if there were no problems with your site. At some stage you will have to look at migrating to Joomla 2.5, which will mean updating your Joomla template, too.
