Hi everyone,

I want to upgrade VM from 2.0.16 to version 2.0.18a for a test on my local computer. Live Update fails with the message

QuoteDownloading the update package failed. Make sure that your temp-directory is writable or that you have enabled Joomla!'s FTP options in your site's Global Configuration.

Are there any other options for upgrading? (because I do not feel secure with enabling FTP) ::)

Use Joomla's extensions installer.

Use EXTREME Caution! If your running any version of J 1.5 you could cause yourself some trouble.
