Title: Multivendor checkout setup.
Post by: JERRYJAMES on January 19, 2013, 09:35:05 AM
Hello
I am looking at using Virtuemart for administering a shop for a Model Egineering society . The Society has a large number of small product lines that can be split under several categories. For administration and work load the various categories are currently administered by different indeviduals from their own geographical locations and with their own stock at their location.

Thus I believe that the way to go is to use the "multivendor" setup so that shipping and packaging is kept separate for each category?

Will this mean 3 separate checkouts, or can I have one checkout showing all purchases and separate shipping cost's attributed to each category?

Finaly, if the categories have separate checkouts can they have indevidual payment plugins to direct the revenue to separate accounts?
or
If it is possible to have a single checkout as above can payments be automatically dirrected to the indevidual category acounts?

Look forward to hearing views.

Regards
Jerry

We are not that far on yet, we have "administrated" multivendor.
