I am using joomla 2.0.10 and VirtueMart 2.5.7. I want to add the login module in the left side of my template and when I create the module, I do not find this type of module. in the VM 1.1 if there was a module for ingesar your login and password, also had a link to the page of registration. There is a similar module in VM 2.0? if there is, I would like to tell me how to create this module.
Thanks for your reply

OK I understan, login module of Joomla is login module de VirtueMart, but I get another problem. the link "Create a account" directs me to the page:
index.php/login?view=registration
in login module of Virtuemart 1.1, registration link direct me to the page:
index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.registration
This last link is not available in the new version of Virtuemart
I would like to help me change this link to direct me to the virtuemart registration page, where I can edit the fields of the registration form
Thanks for your help
You can use a registration redirect plugin (http://www.keashly.net/downloads/joomla-16-plugins/cat_view/19-joomla-16-plugins/26-kc-vm-registration-redirect) or see http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=108838.msg364428#msg364428

Thaks for your help again. But now I found another problem. I'll explain. A registered user login with your username and password and then this user wants to modify some of their data recorded. I add a "new menu item", type "virtuemart account maintenance". This link takes me to a page to edit user data, but also appear extraneous data as:
- User Permissions: shopper
- VM user ID: 85d6d29cced7139effab3ee001eed73b
moreover, you can edit fields that should not be edited as:
Username, Email, etc. :P
Thanks for your help.
Looks like VMdebug is turned on? Config/Shop/Advanced settings.
AFAIK the ability to edit email etc is controlled by Joomla.

I'll answer your questions:
1. vm debug is off
virtuemart > configuration > store > Advanced Settings > option selected: no messages
2. username change not allowed
menu Users > user manager > options > component configuration > change user name: no
another point: page to edit user data is equal to page is on virtuemart user management
virtuemart > orders and buyers > buyers > any user
I'm seeing that there are many mistakes in this new version of virtuemart :-[
thanks for your help

This topic is getting older and older, but anyway - I have come over this post today and the solution is simple.
What you describe happens only when you are logged in on your site with your login to the Joomla administration as a user who can modify everything in the administration (administrator).
Try to create a new account on the front-end and then see this menu item again. The settings people are not supposed to change (or even see) won't be there anymore.
