Title: Creating CSV and importing to which tables in DB phpMyAdmin?
Post by: ProDataX on December 11, 2012, 14:24:38 PM
Hi...

I am sorry if posting in the wrong forum.
I just cant seem to find the answer anywhere... =S

This is my first time using VM on a clients website and i have no idea as how to import directly to the SQL DB tables.
Well i do know how to import the categories via SQL on phpMyAdmin because the categories are all in one table structure. So no problems there.! =)

But for the Products, i have no idea as how, or in which tables do i need to upload my CSV?

I am not even sure how to create the fields for the products?

I think the tables might be only these but i am really not sure:
wrnqo_virtuemart_products
wrnqo_virtuemart_products_es_es
wrnqo_virtuemart_product_categories
wrnqo_virtuemart_product_prices

I have exported these tables as CSV with 2 products created manually just for reference sake but i have no idea as to how do i include the 700 products?
Is there a Single CSV file i could use to do so?

Maybe someone would be so kind as to share a copy of such a file?

Please do help me... i feel so frustrated here... =(

My Joomla Version in 2.5.8 and Running VirtueMart  2.0.14

Thanks to every soul out there willing to help me on this.

Best regards to all.

You can use CSVI for this, you do not have to reinvent the wheel! - http://www.csvimproved.com/
