There is a way to make the VM2 work by finding the product even by the product sku on the URL like for example

index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&product_sku=xxxx

Its Virtuemart 2.0.14

I'm looking for a way to use a product_sku in a url to goto a product details page.

I can only find ways now by using the category ID's and product ID's.

Is there anyone who knows about a workarround or an extension that can do this?

Hello,

You could enable SEF urls on both joomla web site and vm and use as alias the product sku ...
