Title: Strange URL with SEO enabled
Post by: leecymj on December 04, 2012, 11:59:36 AM
My client has (stay calm) a Joomla 1.7 site which is successfully running a VM2.0.14 extension. All the rest of the website is running fine, shop is running fine HOWEVER with SEO switched on getting some VERY strange URL's

Example, create a menu button to the shopfront, alias of shopping and I get a URL of

http://<domain>/2012-04-22-03-43-35/shopping

when looking at a product

http://<domain>/2012-04-22-03-43-35/shopping/clothing/kids-clothing/kids-t-shirt-detail

anyone seen this before and can offer a solution? I cant find any relevance of these numbers in any of the database tables

Thanks in advance for any theories / ideas

Good day to you,

Looks like it is putting a Timestamp in the Alias field for the "Store". When SEO is selected Joomla! grabs the Alias as the path... look around in Store settings and see if you see a timestamp in an alias field.

Regards and best of luck with your project.
