I thought the regular price should be displayed with a slash through it then the new discounted price right below it. I've tried every combination in the setup with no result. I want to make it like the attached image but with $.Please help.

Hello,
Forgot to mention virtuemart 2 version and joomla.
You are using a custom commecial template ... have you update those overrides?
Regards

I'm using Joomla 2.5.8 and Virtuemart 2.0.14. I followed the instructions when I installed the template so I believe I updated the overrides, I've also tried at the built-in templates that came with the joomla installation and got the same result. What should do next? Should I uninstall and start fresh?
Some more ideas:

collin, VM 2 does not normally show the old price with a strikethrough followed by the new price. To get that output you need to use template overrides, css changes and possibly a core hack.
2.0.12 and above shows the basepricewithtax with strike out price...
Take a look over here how to resolve it: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=109923

Had not caught up with that one. We have no products on offer on our wholesale intranet site, everything listed just as baseprice+25% so have not needed strikethough since the old VM1.1 days.
