I have installed the complete OT_Ante_template_installation_package_j25 (using the FTP-server as normal installation via Joomla was not possible) and I have succesfully set up the shop with categories and products. See http://magnetneglelak.dk/OTAnte - Only I have 3 major problems:
1. Can't find out where to set the currency (should be Danish kroner DKK). Under Configuration, Currency - I have unpublished all currencies except Danish Kroner. Still, all prices are shown in Euro or Dollars.
2. Can't change/set the tax rate. I have tried to changes the existing demo but get an Error all the time when trying to Save - I have also tried to set up a New rule, but get an Error when trying to Save. It is as if something is missing.
3. I have tried to change the prices of my products, but I am not allowed to do so. They go back to the price they were before all the time.
I have read somewhere on this site how I should configure SHOP under VirtueMart 2.0.12. But when I go to the Shop menu in Administration, I don't see all the fields that I see in the tutorial. It is as if something is missing.
Is there someone out there, who can see what might be wrong here?
Hello,
I assume you have used the quickstart package of that template ... this usually causes issues because of wrong permissions, wrong paths, etc, etc, as also break installations
Please try to make a clean installation for joomla, install virtuemart and then apply your template.
1. Under Shop -> Shop in the backend select under Currency the right one and under List of accepted currencies make sure that there is only the one you want.
2 & 3. Related to quickstart package you have as i already say. Try to reinstall VM ...
Regards
Thx. Does this mean that everything that I have to start all over?
Or is there any way that the work (categories - articles - images etc.) I have already done can be used after reinstalling Virtuemart?
Regards,
Lili
Hello,
You could use akeeba backup to take a good backup of your site, reinstall vm after and test your site. Reinstalling vm does not looses your changes. But in any case backup first.

Hello,
The quickstart package normally includes joomla also. I don't know something about third party templates and i cannot help you on that because i am not aware about the installation. You should ask for support the template vendors.
As i told the best way is:
Install joomla
Install vm
Install Template.
Regards
Thank you. I have followed your advice and the problem with the currency and prices seems to be solved. Only, now I don't have any layout on the page as the demo data from the template is not installed when I don't install the quick package. But I understand that you cannot help me with that issue, and I must try to contact someone else. Thank you again. :-)
Probably there is a standalone package only with the template. You should contact your template provider to send it to you.
