Title: Can't save configuration in VM2 shop
Post by: coff33 on October 23, 2012, 11:35:53 AM
Hi,

I encountered this error "No Shop Currency defined! Go to http://ion4.me/marketplace/administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=user&task=editshop"
Tried to define currency, but the save button just won't work. Filled in both tabs for Vendor and Additional Information. Still can't save.

I am using VM 2.0.12f and Joomla 2.5
I have been browsing through the forum and found this http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=107538.msg359462#msg359462
I have checked:
1) virtuemart_vendor_id AND user_is_vendor is 1
2) Set google_jquery=0 in virtuemart.cfg
3) Go to db and empty the table _virtuemart_adminmenuentries (Ref: http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/wiki/General_JS-Problems_with_templates_and_jQuery?version=16)

but i still can't save anything that i change in VM2 shop.
I have also tried uninstall and reinstall VM2, still the same.
Please Help.

I'm still using VM 1.5.23, but encountered this same problem today. It so happens I upgraded to IE 9 today as well. I tried using Firefox and had no problem saving. So, I'm guessing it's an IE 9 issue. This concerns me since so many of my customers use IE, not Firefox. I'm going to go check if there's any trouble placing an order...hope that still works :-\.

I was able to go back to IE 9 and tried my changes in HTML instead of using the TinyMCE editor. That seemed to work. Time will tell.

I hope this might help you.

And to VM developers, is there a possible imcompatibility issue with IE 9??

I think its on the backend. Try to check the backend of your joomla and virtuemart. Check for the settings and connection between the two. (Database, scripts, etc.)

Wait for the other answers I'm sure this problem will be solve
