I've install the last version but i cannot have access to Admin Products -> index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=product
The browser gives me a title that is not available Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET)
If i get back to VM 2.0.12B or VM 2.0.12 the Admin Products works normal.
Works for me great,
What's your PHP version? It could be a bad installation or PHP timeout...
But did you try with other browser also? I think this a chrome error (if not mistaken), try to clean your cache also.
Take a look over here: http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!category-topic/chrome/report-a-problem-and-get-troubleshooting-help/Yhavochx7y0
Regards
lipes,
Hi I'm just checking I added a new "administrator" - not super user _ I have access to the admin products section and can edit any products etc -
I am using 2.0.12e ? all my admins can see and edit the products page
Admin -> Product pages works fine for all admin accounts on my site.
VM 2.0.12E, J2.5.7

PHP 5.3.10
Yes i changed the Browser and give the same problem when i try to acess http://localhost/teste2/administrator/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=product
cleared cache .. purged.. etc.. not working yet
same problem in F version...
Hello lipes,
Please check your joomla error log. May be is a PHP issue with that timeout. Increate your timeout limit in your php.ini file, like
set_time_limit(120)
Will sound strange but could you please also check if your firewall/antivirus software blocking anything regarding to PHP. mysql or apache?? Check that logs also or disable them of a moment and try if the be executes.
Regards
Humm...
error.log doesnt exist in Parent folder or Administrator folder, everything Ok;
and in php.ini -> display_errors = "1", and max_execution_time = 240
(because some months ago i was getting problems with images loading)
I will try to check anti-virus and restart the system... but is strange because in Version B was Ok
UPDATE: With anti virus "OFF", Firewall "Off" , spywares "Off" ... it's the same problem
a take a screen shot right now
Chrome and Internet Explorer

Hello,
If i am not mistaken looks like broken installation, try to install vm2012f using the tar.gz files (i think you have done this).
The joomla error log is located under your_joomla_folder/logs/error.php
Regards
bytelord tks for answering again.
Yep, i've tryed the ZIP and TAR.GZ files... but both of them do the same.
I didnt know that was error.php but the folder is almost empty i only got one index.html file ....
So... no solution!?
Hello lipes,
Please try from backend, Tools-> Tools and migration and use Install or if necessary update tables (enable first the option Enable database Update tools under Configuration->Shop).
Regards
Did right now:
Info: alterTable CHANGE jos_virtuemart_waitingusers.notify_date : ALTER TABLE `jos_virtuemart_waitingusers` CHANGE COLUMN `notify_date` `notify_date` TIMESTAMP NOT NULL DEFAULT CURRENT_TIMESTAMP ON UPDATE CURRENT_TIMESTAMP
Table updated: Tablename jos_virtuemart_waitingusers dropped: 0 altered: 1 added: 0
Database updated
then when i try to access in Products i get the same answer
I don't know why ... try a fresh local installation with j257 and v2012f ... strange...
I think is error 500, permission may be?
I did that right now.
Installing J2.5.7 - perfect

ohh, Apache crashes ...haven't to do with vm or joomla ... something goes wrong with Apache/PHP. For that reason your page is white ... no apache runs :)
We was looking to the wrong way all the time, heh
xampp version??? any recently changes to php.ini or apache conf?
Also check windows error log, is that windows 7 64bit?
Better is to ask support from apachefriends forum, vendor of xampp
Regards
yes! w7 64 bit
But version 2.0.12B it's pretty fine since today without any problems .. lol :)
It's strange.. but ok
I'll try to search if there are similar problems in ampps forum.
Thanks
Happens some times with drupal also, wordpress, etc... just out of resources or php with Apache create a memory leak and Apache crashes, this is not related to vm issue or joomla ... but to xampp.
You could try a different portable version of xampp and try to replicate the issue... also check windows error log to find out why Apache crashes.
Regards
I'm usign http://www.ampps.com/ it's similar to xampp
never used it...
try a xampp portable edition from here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/xampp/files/XAMPP%20Windows/1.7.7/
updated and it's working now! :)
Apache 2.2.22, MySQL 5.5.27, PHP 5.4.6
i think that ampps it's very quick and simple to use .. installing joomla (or any other cms) in just 4, 5, .. (few) seconds
now the problem could start in just hosting, right?
because i got PHP 5.2.17, SQL 5.1.66 , .. etc
it's solved, Thanks for your patience bytelord
dedicated to your img: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8Jdrq57BoM eheh :)
heh thanks :)
btw, i prefer php 5.3.x for joomla projects, but also 5.4 should be fine. Your server hosting need's a php 5.3.x update i suppose. 5.2.x is old imho and out of support if i am not mistaken
Regards
it's host on justhost.com
I cant find a cheapest european server so my brother buyed that and gave me shared space.
if it is a shared account you cannot upgraqde PHP, i am using european hosting too, london, germany and greece (iam using vps, cloud hosting and decitated servers not shared) i think you could find cheap hosting for example germany vps hosting or cloud hosting ...
shared hosting has the same configuration for all the users and usually are "dirty" and the resources on the server are high, so when you want to use libraries, like gzip to increase your site speed will be slower ...
on the other hand you get that you pay for ... it is ok with your needs stay there...
Regards
correct....! But now the point of view is "if I was a rich person" lol
my parents have a little store.. and i am helping them in the business (I'm not even payed all months.. free work only to get to eat, a connection to www and have a bed to sleep...) things go a litle bad here in Portugal...
I already read about cloud hosting but some people said that is not secure .. i dont know..
Is secured, denseness on the provider i suppose, cloud normally is better secured and better backup options. Normal hosting depences usually to the "machine" is that server fails, your site fails, if hdd goes of you will loose you data usually except you have a backup. Until then, stay where you are :)
Quotethings go a litle bad here in Portugal...
Same in Greece :)
