My setup:
Virtuemart 2.0.12
Joomla! 2.5.7 Stable
I have russian as the default languge in the control panel and for the site. I have downloaded, unpacked and successfully (or so it said) installed the russian language pack. Files then appeared in the /administrator/language/ru-RU, i checked and the files really do contain russian translation strings.
I have turnt on the debug messages, and i get "vmdebug self::$_jpConfig->lang ru_ru" when i enter Virtuemart, which i assume means that it somewhere tries to russify itself.
I have read somewhere that language pack files can be placed in /administrator/components/com_virtuemart/languages, so i tried that. I tried to unpack everything there, i tried to put the complete archives, i tried creating a subdirectory ./ru-RU and placing everything there. In other words i've tried almost everything.
I have also tried to set the multilanguage option to Russian in the configuration.
But everything is in English (with the exception of the message noting that i have the newest version, which is strangely enough in Russian).
Can somebody please help out?
I think i may have discovered a part of the problem, when i turn on the language debugging i get the following snipped:
**Не загружен** : JROOT/administrator/language/ru-RU/ru-RU.com_virtuemart.ini
**Не загружен** : JROOT/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/language/ru-RU/ru-RU.com_virtuemart.ini
(The first part says "not loaded" in russian). What do i check to see why it doesn't load?
It seems that everything on the net says "languages" where it should have been "language", silly question that took me a day to discover. And as always i discover it as soon as i ask for help on the forum.
Hello,
so, did you fix it?
Regards
