Post by: rafaviana on October 06, 2012, 16:19:44 PM

Hello,

Please first read this: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=108212.0

If i am no mistaken you mean the cart module that is published on the top or after header (before main_body) and then goes to the right position. This is template issue and is a commercial template. If they couldn't help you try to post a live url if someone can check it ...

Regards

It depends on the yootheme template. Some of their templates like you nano, yoo sync or yoo balance work fine. It is even possible to put the original VM cart module into a menu position. Did put my vm shopping cart module into the header bar, deleted the text in the language file which says if no product in cart 'your cart is empty'. So it is only visibible for someone who did put something into the cart.
A few yootheme templates do not work with virtuemart front page, but the mentioned ones do work nice.

Yes,

It depends on template available positions, your suggestion will be the best, publish your cart module under menu position ... will create a dropdown cart under menu (top) for yootheme  (as i remember last time i check warp framework).

I use the Yootheme Subway template and the cart module can be put in the menu as a "Menu Item Type *    Shopping Cart" or also in the sidebars.  For example use sidebar-a or sidebar-b as template positions.  And of course, make sure you assign it to all the corresponding pages under "Menu Assignment".
