Hello,

I am running VirtueMart 2.0.11 on Joomla 2.5.7. When using Ask a question form, I got error 500: Layout default not found

Do you use overrides for the product detail page or ask question layout? In this case deactivate your template and check if it's work with standard template like beez 2.

It's fixed. Actually, one of the previous VM updates perhaps disabled Ask a Question option in the parameters. After I re-enabled it, everything is fine again. Thanks.
