I have tried to add an option for collecting items from the store to my shop but when I do I am not being given an option of which method I would like to choose, it is just automatically choosing collection, if I want to have my items shipped I have to change shipping method.
Is it possible to have the choices at the point of order? If so, how?

it is per product just set the parameters from 0 to whatever and leave the shipment cost as 0.00
Set the name as collection only or whatever, make sure you add the shopper groups that apply to this, default is registered members Anonymous is guests.
this will then show as an option for your customer to choose for shipping.
