Hello I am new and novice so big troubles .... I was asked to make a site in Joomla 1.7.3 with Virtuemart 2.0 and really is a pain in the ass. My client wants only registered users can buy products and that unregistered users have to register to do so. I know this question was answered many times but none of the examples I found on the forum was set at even close to what my client needs. Thanks in andvance! First you should update your joomla to 2.5.7 version and also vm to 2.0.10, i am not sure for the VM version you are running that 2.0RC is far too old and joomla also...
Why you did not check the option under Configuration -> Checkout "Only registered users can checkout" ?
Is not that compatible to your demands? Its impossible not to find an answer in the forum about that, except if you haven't explain correctly what exactly you want to do.
