Title: Is VM compatible with YooTheme?
Post by: damianoseo on September 07, 2012, 23:42:20 PM
Hi guys
is Virtuemart compatible with YooTheme themes?
I just installed their new theme (which has been published just a week ago) on my website espertoseo.com (http://www.espertoseo.com) which has joomla 2.5 on it. YooThemes are HTML5 based, gzip and minify enabled and many more advanced features.. Is it fully compatible with vm? Has anyone tried vm on those kind of templates?
Thank you very much

I don't know, because I try to avoid any templates which are supplied with a lot of "funky features" which frequently produce conflicts with important functions.
Looking at your link I would expect problems caused by using gzip, multiple jQuery versions being loaded, webfonts not loading (webfont.woff), lightbox conflicts, etc.
You can use Firebug to see a few of these problems your site already has - see here: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=102850.0 (http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=102850.0), when using Firebug's 'Console' and 'Net' features.

BTW- I would use PIWIK instead of caphyon-analytics
