VirtueMart 2 offers some great Custom Field functionality. But let's be honest - it can be a challenge to learn, and there are some things that simply can't be done yet.
For example, you can't make one custom field's choices dependent on the values chosen in
another custom field, unless you're doing Parent/child products or something along those lines. And there are a lot of other advanced custom field capabilities you might want to include, but you can't do them with the suite of standard Custom Fields, or the plugins currently available.
For example:
- A store that sells Medicare approved products, and needs to collect detailed information from each patient upon checkout if they order specific qualified products (but not all products in the store)
- A store that caters lunch deliveries, that wants to allow people to order food with special directions and delivery instructions for their order
- A store that sells contacts, or eyeglasses, that needs to collect important information in a form at checkout to be kept on file for subsequent orders
- A store that needs to collect detailed information during purchase, and integrate it with SalesForce (Breezing Forms v1.8 now supports this!
- And lots more situations where more advanced functionality is needed than VM2 Custom Fields can support

Does Breezing Forms have the ability to make a drop down box mandatory? this is one of my requirements and VMCustomDropBox does not offer this unfortunately
Yes, you can do all kinds of form building in Breezing Forms, including making fields mandatory, making fields conditional upon other fields, allowing users to upload very large files to Dropbox, integrating and displaying data from external databases or other tables in your Joomla database, etc.

The BF Plugin PRO allows you to trigger a custom Breezing Form as part of the checkout process for certain products. It does not include the ability to adjust product prices.
