I just have a general question before I spend hours installing and then finding out that this is not for me.
I need to use VirtueMart as an order system.
What I mean by this is I want order quantities to be shown for products but don't want prices, taxes or totals to be shown, anywhere. Is this possible without major recoding?

Yes, VM2 can be used as a order/quote system by setting the right configuration in the backend and using template and language overrides to enure no pricing display and with an email of the order/request sent to store admin.
