Now (2.0.8e) the combobox to choose language is into "Product Information" tab and, for example, when i'm editing "Product Description" i don't know which is the selected language !

There also a limit because i cannot have multilangues text about "Product Images" (Images titles, Images Alt-Text)

If configured correctly, VM2 initially shows the language set as the
default site language in Joomla. In your case probably Italian. If you select a language from the dropdown list, you should see the language flags in the 'Product Information' and 'Product Description' tabs. In other words, if you don't see a flag, you are looking at the italian description.
Translating the image alt attribute might be a good idea for SEO, but it requires a database change and some extra work to adjust existing multilanguage shops. ;)
