I am new to Virtuemart and was wondering if someone could give me some advice.
I would like to set up a restaurant directory. when a customer clicks on a restaurant, it brings up restaurant details such as address, telephone number, etc and it brings up special offers in the form of certificates. User purchases the certificate and can download and print the certificate from their profile or from the email confirmation.
What I would like to know is:
1) Should i set up restaurants as Products and the gift certificates as child products? Or is there another way I can do this?
2) Is there an extension that I can use for the gift certificates to be generated?
Any help will be much appreciated.
I would use Sobi for that, as the key function is the directory. There are a lot of addons for Sobi, too.
Will Sobi run on Joomla 2.5.6?
SobiPro does - I am using it.....
How about if I just want to sell gift certificates for a single salon?
