After trial-and-error I found that the image extensions is case sensitive. Only .jpg images are recognised for full images, although for thumb creation . JPG is accepted. This would differ from VM 1.9.
Can someone confirm that this is indeed the case or is there a setting in configuration where I can select.
If not, I have lot of work to do.

I'm not shure. If I change jpg to JPG manually, VM 2.0.8c still recognizes the file. However, if you need to change your filenames, search in Google for "Filename changer". There are a few free ones, which allow to change thousands of filenames with a mouse click.
