Hi all,
It seems my cart is going in and out of https
Show cart = http
Payment details = https
Shipping details = https
Now because the cart is http, when the user enters their payment details and clicks save, they are prompted with a warning to say they are being redirected out of a secure form... Not good as this is credit card info.
Is there any way to secure all pages within the cart? I've not taking orders and I've received several complaints about security.
I have 'use SSL in sensible areas' turned on.
Anyone have any suggestions? My client is quite concerned that his sales are being affected and i'm not sure what to suggest to him
Thank you in advance!
Neil
you have to setup the checkout pages in https..so that warning will not display in checkout.
Hi Satnag29 - Thanks for your reply! I have the 'Use SSL in sensible areas" enabled but not sure how to set the checkout pages in https. I can't seem to find any option for that in the admin config. Any ideas?
Anyone have any ideas?
I have a hidden menu linking to the cart and have forced this to use SSL, which does what it says on the tin, but as soon as I enter the billing address i'm redirected to a none secure version of the cart with the warning message.
There must be a way to secure all of the pages in the cart?
I've posted in 3 development forums and had no reply. Can anyone help?
Hi ncopeman,
which vm-version do u use? I use vm 2.0.8_e and jml 2.5.6 and both edit invoice adress button and edit deliveryadress button and show cart are linking to https (both with logged in user and not logged in user).
What exactly is the warning message?
greets slammy

Thanks Slammy, i'm on 2.0.6 - hoping to update to 2.10 once my template is compatible.... Until then i've kind of fixed the issue by purchasing a one page checkout page.
