Title: Baseprice including tax?show Baseprice without showing tax,but show both in cart
Post by: jiapei100 on July 04, 2012, 06:49:46 AM

Hi, all:

1) I happened to notice the Baseprice includes tax. How come?
If Baseprice already includes tax, how come there is a "Baseprice with Tax, but without discounts" ?

Baseprice should be the price before tax and discount !!!

2) Why "Baseprice and tax" both are shown in shopping cart and product details?
I think everybody has been accustomed to Amazon's shopping cart: say:
show only Baseprice in product details, while show the tax when you try to checkout ---namely, tax is only shown in the shopping cart, rather than product details.

Needs improvement in my personal opinion.

Cheers
Pei

You might try setting up a Default Tax rate of 0 with no country and State/Province assignment, no Shopper Groups assignment or any other fields.  Just leave them all blank, like this:

Calculation Rule name    Default
Published    Yes
Ordering
Description    Default tax rate
Type of Arithmetic Operation    Tax per product
Math Operation    +%
Value    0.00
Currency    You default currency
Product Category    Select Somes Options
Shopper Groups
Country
State / Province / Region
Visible for Shopper    Yes
Visible for vendor    Yes
Start Date
End Date

Hi, Thanks for your reply.

I happened to notice one thing:

BasePrice only show when the user logs in. While not-login, BasePrice is not shown, But the tax and sales price show.

I would like the BasePrice show all the time. How to do that?

Check your anonymous and default Shopper Groups.  Make sure that Baseprice is checked in both groups.

Bonne chance/Good luck

Hi, Thanks srseale.

I've checked already. For both groups, Baseprice is checked.
Still, for anonymous users, Baseprice is not shown. Definitely weird.

And now, even for the registered users, Baseprice is not shown as well...

Any other ideas?

Cheers

Did anyone get this figured out?  I have checked everything for all groups.  Base price isn't showing for non logged in users.  I'd like to show the base price and then the sales price with options.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

I have the same issue:
Tax shows up for anonymous user.
What I would like is for anonymous user to show baseline price but once the user loggs in show price and tax.
Does anyone have a solution to this?

My issue was related to the shopper group.  I was moving a site from a different store to Virtuemart and having shopping-cart-migration.com do the transfer.  When the did the transfer it added the default user group instead of available for all.  I had a boat load of products and was having trouble changing them all so I got them to retransfer the data and put in a different shopper group.  Fixed my issue.
