Use this plugin which should pass your bank's PCI checks: http://extensions.virtuemart.net/extensions-virtuemart-2/offline-credit-card-processing-detail

Make sure you use SSL on the server for all sensitive areas. Your host should be able to advise on the most appropriate SSL certificate, and you will probably also need a dedicated IP address.

Ensure that you tell your card merchant service what you are doing, as failure to do so can result in massive penalties.

is that the only way is to use a static IP? This costs extra. Is there an easier way?

Hi,
Depending on your host, a static IP shuld only cost about £25 pa.
However, have you looked at CardSave - they have a hosted solution I believe. Not tried it myself.

itye2012 my solutions there only is useful if you already have a merchant card account. If you do not have one then you could use a UK PayPal premier or business account - both will allow cards to be accepted (as well as PayPal account payments), but it is more obvious that cards are accepted with the business account payment interface, which looks much more professional. Or you could use PayPal Pro  (eg http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=103880.0 )

Cardsave do offer VirtueMart integration, but you would need to confirm this with them. http://www.cardsave.net/shopping-carts/item/all-carts/virtuemart

To use SSL on your host account you do require a suitable certificate, and these are usually tied to a dedicated IP address.
