Title: Feature suggestion: Show price range in category view
Post by: Parsimonious on June 17, 2012, 18:43:08 PM
With many shops using parents and children via generic child varients or the stockable variants plug-in there are often going to be times when the children are different prices. It would be really helpful if while a customer is browsing a category they could see the price range of a product before clicking for details eg "$100 - $175" or at the very least "from $100" Otherwise we're left having to choose to either make every variation its own separately listed product (which can make a store cluttered and hard to browse), or having to the set the parent to the lowest or highest price or some price in between which can be deceptive to a customer. They might be looking for something and think wow $50 is a great price only to click in and find out that is for a smaller size of the product, and they actually need to pay $100. Customers don't like to feel tricked. Please post if you think this is a worthy feature.

I totally agree. This is an absolute MUST for Virtuemart 2, it is quite a problem indeed when the children products have different prices, the customers are confused. Hope that the VM team will seriously consider this.
