I'm running a digital download store right using an older version of Interspire Shopping cart and want to migrate it to VM 2. I have about 140 products and 200 customers and reviews I want to move.
Any suggestions or comments about ways to handle this.

Yes, as per my view you can handle it with VM2 because it has lots of advance features like faster, bug free, more security, inbuilt plugins and many payment methods. So you can easily handle all your stuff without any problem.
Set up a Joomla2.5/VM2.0.6 site first and sort out syles and configuration. If you can get a csv output from Interspire then maybe with some manipulation you could use CSVI (http://www.csvimproved.com/) to import product/user data.
