I was really hopeful that VM would have an easier answer for this. I am trying to find a way to wrap my head around, first of all, and add custom attributes. Not even sure what I have come up with is doable with VM. If there is someone out there that has some expertise let me know if this is possible or if I need to look into another solution for my client. See attached images.

My catering client wants to be able to sell menu items by categories. Say Salads, Main Course, etc. These would be the main products. Within those are choises. These can be listed out in the products main description. Need the ability to allow the visitor to select which particular TYPE of item they would like. Ideally this would be by signifying a quantity as I figure someone would invariably want 1 of this type of salad and 5 of that type of salad for example.

Logic tells me that the order form would look like this if the above process is implemented.
