Hi
- I cannot find anywhere wher I can set the number of days for which an item is marked as new. Can you tell me where to do that, please.
- I have looked through a lot of posts and it would seem that the function allowing products to be set in a particular order from the backend is not available or doesn't work correctly. Is that so? I want to be able to set them in the order I choose or by latest added. Is that possible? If so where/how?
Thanks for your support.

David

Thanks for your input. I'll try that.
There are several options you can choose
* to display your latest products or most recent etc You can go to configuration>>templates>> and choose your options there.
* In every product you can choose in product information to display this product as a feature product >> product information>>On Featured
* Ini every product you can choose >>product status and set all your requirements there>>dates , images and notes
* you must enable some features in Extensions>>module manager >> publish them>> like featured products >>
or you can add new extensions like http://extensions.virtuemart.net/extensions-virtuemart-2/all-about-products-detail for some thing different.
* So may not show first or in the order you like like featured products because it has a rotation of products set into the system _ incase you have 50 featured products.
Try using your configuration Product order settings as these will help put frist products first - but you will need to set these carefully - eg try SKU only to start and then choose numbering or sorting carfuly eg product001 . product002 and so on leave gap to ensure you can put a product number between another and see how that goes.
Thanks John. I appreciate your careful instructions.
I'll see how I get on and report back.
