That is right.
Atm is the dev map just to enhance the code base and to add small little features, mostly just to avoid bugs or unwanted behaviour. For example we added a configuration setting for the invoices, but noticed now that the right orderstatus for the invoice is depended by the paymentmethod.
Or atm is the path for the "files for sale" absolute, because it is using the same technic as the URL, but they are relative. So when someone is moving his store with files for sale, there will be trouble, due the changed safepath. So we need to change this. Is it a bug? not really. But not nice done so it may lead to bugs.
We are adding atm a notify feature, so that shopowners can send mails to certain customers of a product 2.0.8 .
We added a VatTax to avoid problems with taxes, which are allowed being recalculated after the discount.
We wanna enhance the search and filter options in the backend, for products, orders, users and media.
Some people want to set a standard country
Others want always a 0.0 displayed instead of nothing.

We are not happy with the customfields and want change the plugin system for it, that will lead to incompatibilities and will be done for vm2.2
That is not all, but some ideas.

Very good idea it can stand out virtuemart among the rest of products available for joomla.

thanks for all the info - could we have a more formal road map then :) we all understand in the real world things change and deadlines slip, but it would be great to have an overall feeling of where our great community is headed
Tracking changes to svn version shows that all planned close to completion. But we need a clear roadmap for a clear understanding. What about multi-manufacturers?
