in VM 2.06 configuration->checkout I disable these two options
"Must agree to Terms of Service on EVERY ORDER?"
"Show Terms of Service on the cart/checkout?"
yet in the checkout area a little tick box appears next to the place order button, no text to indicate what it is, and if you try placing the order it asks you to agree to terms and conditions first, which as it turns out is that box which has to be ticked to continue
so must agree to terms of service cannot be disabled?
It is necessary because of legal requirements in some countries, I suppose
I am having the exact same problem with the same symptoms as was previously mentioned. This is a glitch in VirtueMart and has nothing to do with legal requirements of different countries. I, unfortunately, don't have the solution though.
One way to bypass it would be to change the code to default select the tick box and then use CSS to hide it, not sure how to achieve this though.
I'm having this same problem with Virtuemart 2.10.
Has anyone found a solution for this
