Hello,
I have not upgraded my Joomla from 1.7.3 to 2.5 but I would like to use CSVImproved plugin for my virtuemart component.  Has anyone tried it and does it work?  I need to export data from virtuemart using Joomla 1.7 and VirtueMart 2.0

I can't upgrade to 2.5 yet since this site his many modules, components and plugins that are not yet compatible.

If not, any suggestions on what to use to export products (name, description, image etc)?

I use CSVImproved and I love it. The developer Roland is very responsive and has pretty much solved any issue or answer any question I had.

I have used CSVi for a number of years now to manage a site with over 8,000 products - and could not manage without it.

Updating Joomla to 2.5.4 is highly recommended - all 1.6 and 1.7 versions have critical security issues - eg http://developer.joomla.org/security/news/394-20120304-core-password-change.html
