I have a Joomla 1.5.26 site with Virtuemart 1.1.8. with a module added to allow free shipping just for certain products.
I would like to upgrade to Virtuemart 2.0.6 If I upgrade will I be able to assign free shipping for selected products or will I have to install a shipping module to do that?
I read these forums & saw how you can set up a Free shipping module but I didn't know if it would apply free shipping to all products? I would like to be able to apply free shipping just to products that are on a "free shipping" special offer for a limited time then switch them back to paid shipping.

You could add a shipping configuration to a special group
and then add your products to that group when you wanted.
When you want to turn off the free shipping just unpublish that free shipping option.
