When i use the extension manager in Joomla i upload the com_virtuemart.2.0.6.tar.gz file and after a couple of minutes it displays the page 'The Connection was reset' i am using Firefox, i have tried different browsers and it still shows the same page equivalent to the browser that I used. If you guys need to know anything else then i can give the required information. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Any help will be appreciated ?
Do you have a really short session time set in the server php.ini or are you on a poorly configured or restricted facility server (eg Godaddy)?
You don't say if you are using localhost, but if you are doing so on windows then you will need to convert the package to .zip first
i am using a webhost called 000webhost and i know other people that have used it and have had no problems. I am not using local host
just to let you know i have now fixed the problem by converting the files to .zip that seemed to work, Thanks very much for your help
