Title: Mission Impossible 5 : "Display subcategories on the front page"

Hi,
Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

How can i also display subcategories on the front page (using the store front end, not the module), or help me find where the code is for displaying the categories.  I will possibly try to tweak it so it also shows child categories.

Same issue here.
Aparently no one will give a solution.
People could at least say it is impossible, so i would give it up.

Try Config/Templates "Show Children Category"

Thank you for the answer.
It's already checked, but don't work.
What is shown is a kind of slider button to show the children categories.

I have the exact same problem and SHOW CHILDREN CATEGORY is selected. Did you manage to find the solution please help and share?

I did not found a solution, so, i create mine.
I used a module that displays a categorie and display it at the frontpage.
