I am using override templates for category and product pages. But the left category menu on the left sidebar won't show in login, address edit, shopping cart etc pages. Only shopfront, products and category pages show the menu... Is it because I created override templates for only category and products? If I turned on Search engine Friendly URL in Global Configuration, the menu displays again through out the store. But I am not sure that's just a temporally solution....
My template configuration setting in VM2 (joomla 2.5.4)
Default template for your shop>> Use Joomla template (I have regular web pages and VM pages)
Category Template >> Use Joomla template
And the rest of the settings is set to -default-.

Sounds like a Joomla problem in that you don't have a main menu item to VirtueMart, either frontpage or VirtueMart Categories Layout ? The module should be assigned to that menu item.
