Title: custom fields / no cart attributes
Post by: exschnecki123 on April 16, 2012, 17:18:20 PM
I have the impression that VM 2.0.4 has more bugs then VM 2.0.2. The following things do not work anymore after upgrading:

generic child variant - is not shown on frontend (in VM 2.0.2 it was working properly)
custom field, no cart attribute - is not shown on the frontend. (in VM 2.0.2 it was working properly)

and the live update is also not working.

Please advise what to do
Thanks.

It should work, but your are not giving enough information

here some more information:

generic child variant: I followed the steps in the WIKI about the generic child variant (layout position: ontop). I added the generic child variant to the product. Now I am wondering what I have to choose in the field where I can choose SKU; alias name and so on. What does this field mean? Okay, I choose SKU Number and type something in and it does not match. I save the product but nothing is shown on the frontend. In the backend everything is working fine. BUt on the frontend nothing happens. In VM 2.0.2 it showed up on the frontend. (see screenshots - by the way I also geht the error message since the update to VM 2.0.6 - screenshot "frontend")

The same thing is with the no cart attributes. They are not shown on the frontend. Do they need a layout position?

Thank you for your help.

Cant see the error, except that you use an old layout override.

What does that mean "an old layout override". Where can I change this?

Thank you again.
