Title: VM2 Where to put Shop introduction text for frontpage

Well, I feel really stupid in asking this and yes, I did a search on the forum...

Where can I put the Introduction text for the frontpage? Every category shows its description when opening and showing products and subcategories but I just can´t find the place where to write the text I want to appear on frontpage i.e. right before showing the categories, featured products etc.

Components -> Virtuemart -> Shop -> Shop -> Then scroll down the page until you see "Description". That should be it.

Unfortunately not.
I added the Introduction text there but still nothing apears on shop frontpage... :-(

Is this working at you?

In VM2.0.4 you should make the main menu link to VirtueMart "Front page". Then the decsription will be shown.

Hello I have the same problem. onto Virtuemart 2.0.8e the shop description will not appear.
Any suggestion?

I have the same problem too, the menu assignment is correct as featured products etc are showing on the home page, but the text in the description field is not showing up.

Was a solution found for this?

VM 2.0.12f
Joomla 2.5.8

EDIT: I've solved my problem. D'OH, it was a config setting: config > templates - then under VirtueMart Homepage Settings, select 'Show Store Description'.
