Hi,
I updated my old VM 1.1.9 to 2.0.2 under Joomla 1.5.
Now I thought starting jupgrade would to the rest. But jupgrade just ignored VM.
I found this thread

but think, I mis-understood it. Do I really have to install VM 2.0.2 after the Joomla-Upgrade freshly and then start the migration again? That sounds a bit strange to me. As the "old" VM is not existing in the jupgrade folder, why should the newly installed VM2.02/migration-tool under Joomla 2.5 know where the "old" VM is located?

BACKUP FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, what you have to do is
Does your new Joomla have the vmart tables in the database?
IF not,
Install 2.0 on it, and then go and DROP all the jos_virtuemart tables.
THEN, export the 2.0 tables from the old site, and import into teh new site database.

IF your new Joomla site has all the vmart 2.0 tables, Just install the same version of 2.0 have on your old site.
IT will NOT mess up the products etc.
