I have set up a dev site for client with VM2.02 and Joomla 2.5. I want to have 2 shopper groups, but client does not want to require registration, is it possible to have shoppers select a shopper group, while shopping or at checkout?

Ok If they purchase a product the first time and they don;t register then later you might have to re-enter them by hand as their records are in the
order but not as a registered user.
You can find them and when you update orders in the back add a comment or a link etc -
You could add an other field in the address requirements - drop down list ? and ask them if they would like to register later ?
* Those who are interested you could send them a coupon with a special discount coupon - telling them if they register as a silver member they must order over $100.00 to receive a discount
or gold $200. etc
* You can have a coupon al;ready set up taht says orders over certain amounts get discounts - no registeration.
Just an idea.
