I am very new (~2hrs.) to this site and have not been able to find the answer to my question in all the documentation here.
What I would like to know is what are the pros & cons of ecommerce edition vs. mambo-phpshop?
When I tried the DEMO sites (which I assume are the ecommerce edition)it looks like the site was completely converted to a shop with no other content.
What I would like is a CMS type site with content AND a store. Is this possible and which version should I download to best achieve that?
Also does ecommerce edition have the stable-pl2 version in it?

phpShop is a component for Mambo so what you get is a full CMS (mambo) plus the e-commerce functionality of Mambo-phpShop, so if that's what you're looking for, you're definitely in the right place ;D
