Add To Cart button missing, Backend access missing

Hi,

The Add to Cart button is missing on my site.

I'm using Virtuemart 2.5.6 with  Virtuemart 2.0.8e

I just deleted all the Virtuemart folders with Filezilla and tried to reinstall Virtuemart 2, but now I can't access Virtuemart in backend as  Virtuemart isn't showing up in the Joomla Component menu.

Does anyone have some advice?

Hi amoeba,

My suggestion. Start your install again.

You can't simply delete folders from your install and expect to be able to reinstall the component if you haven't deleted the records out of the database too. The database holds records of the component in numerous tables, simply deleting the folders will still leave the data fragments in place.

That's the simplest solution, rather than trying to find the fault. If you have a local copy on your machine, maybe try and upload it again and then re-import your database.

I deleted the old database in cPanel, reinstalled Joomla with Softaculous and reinstalled Virtuemart 2 with sample data.

I can see the Add to Cart button when I click on Product Details now.

Is there a way to get the Add to Cart button to appear on the front page with Latest Products?
