multiple sizes and prices for single product (photo prints)

G'day,

Im having a hard time trying to get my photo store up and running. I am trying to set up a single product to have multiple sizes ie: 8x12, 12x18, 16x 24 and 20x30 prints and each size has its own price. I have tried custom fields -> cart variant but nothing shows up and also child products again nothing shows up..  i am also missing my add to cart button..? its never showed up and i cannot find a fix for this.. can anybody help!! im using joomla 2.5.7 and VM 2.0.12f(stable) any help would be much appreciated!!
